Coolant Filter System - Brands & Do They Work?

Please advise what brands of coolant filter systems are available. I know that International sells a waterpump with a filter built onto it for their trucks and as a replacement for our 6.0L motors.

Does anyone use one and do they work (any test results)?

Thanks,

Re: Coolant Filter System - Brands & Do They Work?

With all the talk about aftermarket air filters, oil filters.... I am surprised that no one has responded about my search for coolant filters (whether secondary or built-in)?

The coolant has no filtering system on it, yet there is casting sand and other particles floating around our motors. The over-the-road trucks have them and International makes a waterpump with a built in filter for their trucks, but Ford (I heard) chose not to include it (even though they added a secondary filter to the transmission).

Any help, advice, websites, or company names would be appreciated regarding this topic.

Thanks,

Re: Coolant Filter System - Brands & Do They Work?

Yes!! I have had the system on my truck for over two years and you would be suprised at the sand in the filters. I cut the first two open and was amazed. I have a new 05 coming and one of my first mods will be the coolant filter.
Thanks,
Marc

Re: Coolant Filter System - Brands & Do They Work?

Just put one on my truck a couple of weeks ago - from the Dieselsite - great kit and working well so far. I'll also cut into the first couple to see how much is in there.
