Coolant Leaking from Muffler

When I fill my degas bottle to the Min line, I intermittently have lost level, get the white smoke, & when I park the truck I have coolant steadily dripping from my muffler weep hole. Problem is that it only happens about ever 8-10 times that I fill the degas bottle. Once the level drops so my degas bottle is almost empty, it maintains the level & doesn't lose anymore coolant. I have no visible signs of leaking antifreeze operating temperature issues, even under heavy load.

I did the jack the truck up, check for coolant @ the egr valve & I don't have any.

So what other path can the coolant get from the cooling system to the muffler?

I am out of warranty, called the dealer & they want to replace the egr cooler, egr valve, oil cooler, degas bottle & flush my cooling system.

I asked if they could diagnose the precise problem vs just replacing random parts that it might be

They told me that they would start by replacing these parts because it fixes most of the coolant problems, then if that didn't fix the problem, they would further investigate.

That is great and all under warranty, but this is my nickel. No mods of any kind.

Why would you see it? It's leaking from the EGR cooler into the exhaust most likely.

Is the path thru my engine to the exhaust or straight out the exhaust pipe?

Also, why does it leak to a certain level, then stop leaking?

I have the 6.0 "bible" & looked at a good post to a service manual.

the egr cooler is a coonection between exhaust and coolant. It can let it go into cylinders via EGR valve when it is open and give white smoke but it can also leak inside cooler and run backwards through the RH exh up-pipe and then down to muffler.
