dash gauges not working!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my buddy has a 2004 6.oh no and the dash gauges are not working, no tach,water temp,oil press., speedo, alternator???? the stealership told me that the pcm shuts down some stuff if the charging system is not working properly(alternator-batteries) batt."s show low w/ a system check and have not checked the alternator for him yet. is this a problem for the 6.0!!! all the fuses were ok and the relays unles you guys have some in put. help me out cause this guy hooking me up on a deer lease and i'm trying to hook m up.

[img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif[/img]make sure the alt. is putting out for one, & have the batt's checked. if they test ok after charging them then remove the batt. posts & leave off for about a min. or two, then reinstall them. now it will have to have a kamm reset after this, but it can only be done by ford w/ the testing equipment. then they have to perform a vgt learn procedure. this will recalibrate the icm. it will go through a gauge sweep to reset itself. if this ever happens to you, gauges sweeping in the future then you know that it has a low batt. concern. one bad batt. can cause all kinds of problems. not cranking fast enough will also keeping it from starting, cause the high pressure pump has to be rotating fast enough to create enough pressure to lite off.
