Dead 6.0

Hello newbie here. Had my 6.0 for 4yrs it has 50640 miles lot #8 injector last weekend the tip split in half. 10 mos. out or warrianty flooded cyclinder 8. replaced it last nite to no aveil. STILL HAVE A BAD MISS. and it smokes a little blue. FORD says it a dead hole in 8 and 15% loss in 1 because there on the same stroke. 11000.00 for a 3yr 100000 mile warranty.motor Open for thoughts.???

With all the problems these motor have ill spend the cash. Don't like it tho.

I don't fully understand your post. When was the warranty start date (ie when was the truck FIRST purchased)?

Nov 10 2003 Im the second owner picked it up with 11000 miles on it.

Did it hydralock on you? If not, how long did you run it with the miss? (Wash out the rings?) The miss could be debris under a valve. dont give up so soon.

Maybe a cracked injector cup???? I had a similar situation where the copper o-ring failed and hydro-locked then engine. I had so much compression entering the fuel system on that bank that the other 3 injectors on the same bank had to be replaced. So dont give up hope yet.

No it never hydro locked.The piece that broke must have done some damage it smokes a little and there is a compressen sound up top know. (maybe nick a intake valve?) and maybe wash out yhe rings.When i pulled my egt probe out it of the the exhaust it drained a 1qt. of fuel out of it.
