Ford built these hunks of @@@. They need to at least keep us informed in the service dept when maintenance needs to be done to at least attempt to prolong the life of the last Ford 6.0 I'll EVER own.

Dealership is screwing me.

The dealership is not the reason the filters weren't changed. The customer, including myself has an owners manual & a maintenance schedule provided by Ford. Dealers do recommend needed service from time to time but dealers also have more to do than that. I worked for Ford dealers for 15 years as a parts & service manager. We had more to do than sell service to everybody that came in the door. Being paid on commission prompts most service advisers to try to sell service but no service adviser can catch everything. Most dealer shops are very busy with customers, warranty concerns, FMC, technicians and other concerns during a tremendously hectic day anyway. The fuel filters are maintenenace items. If the customer did not specifically request the fuel filters be changed when requesting service it is not the dealers fault. Is it the dealers fault if your tires wear because the dealer didn't rotate them when you came in for service??

Well, it is funny that most of you guys are ripping me but looking back thru my service records I have paid for three fuel filter changes. But that is beside the point. I take my truck in for the sercive it needs and tell them to take care of what needs to be done and call me when it is ready. They did the 30K mile service and did not change the fuel filters. Why is that. That is one of the heavy service points. You get letters in the mail about a recal right? They know what should be done and when.

My Father-in-law owned a dealership for 40 years. He said they never did crap like that.

I used to have the dealership do my maintenance also. I would discuss what was to be done when I dropped the truck off and I then I would go over the invoice when I picked it up to be sure everything was done. After being disappointed many times, I started doing the maintenance myself.

As the vehicles owner, it is your responsibility to ensure that proper maintenance is performed...

For the vultures.... you guys cry when the dealer suggests factory scheduled maintenance operations calling them 'unnecessary'... and now you cry because the dealer didn't suggest factory scheduled maintenance operations?

It has to be one or the other.... and, at some point in our lives, we need to share in the responsibility of our decisions....
I agree 100%. That is why they supply an owners manual and maintenance requirements. If you don't read them and request items when necesary, who's fault is that. They may as well save the printing costs of the owners manuals.
