Diesel In Coolant

Hello All
I am just wondering if any of you have experienced Fuel in your Degas bottle before? I have this problem right now. Could fuel be bypassing somehow if there were O ring problems or could it be the Injector Sleeves. Its on an 05 with 100000 miles on it. Many thanks in advance for any input.

Shawn

There's two things going on, either you have an injector cup that is cracked or the heads are cracked right at the injector cup. With a 6.0, it's usually the head that is cracked. If you just passed 100k take it to the dealer and see what they can do. There is a thing called a P05 warranty, it covers vehicles with major problems that are just out of warranty. If you've been a good customer and spent money at their dealer they should offer it to you, but they don't have to. Or say you've noticed it at like 99,000 miles but have been too busy to bring it in or have been out of town.

It was an Injector Sleeve on one cylinder. I have 112 0000 miles on it so no Warranty Service. While its apart is it good practice to change the EGR Cooler or the Oil Cooler. I have read that its good pratice to change the EGR Cooler but I am not to sure on the Oil Cooler. Any advice is welcomed. I have had the ARP Head Studs installed as a good insurance policy. As I am running an Edge with Attitude, K&N Cold Air Intake and 4" Stainless Turbo Back Exaust.

I wouldn't eh..advocate modifying your emissions system, however this article contains material about the ability of the EGR to function on programmed trucks. Any other info you find, use your own discretion.
