Can't figure out why everyone on here is bashing 6.0's. I have an 03(bought Sept. 03) and haven't had a minutes problem out of it. I love it. Guess I'm just lucky.......
SS-
I ask myself the same question quite often. I have an Oct '03 built truck and it has by far been the best truck I have owned. Yes, it did leave me stranded once(fuel injector pressure regulator), front rotors had to be replaced due to warpage, got stuck in 4wd once, had 3 recalls done that resulted in much louder idle, and softened way too much the Tow/haul. It consistantly gets 17-20mpg on the highway, 10-12mpg towing a 12,000lb fifth wheel trailer. Rides great for a leaf spring/solid axle 7700lb crew cab truck. Great acceleration, very good build quality, looks better than any make of truck on the market. I took a good look at a 2006 Mega-cab Ram the other day. Nice big rear seat but that is about it. I don't have 300lb kids or an overweight mother in law so I have no need for that space, sacrificing bed space. There is no comparrison to my 2004 SuperDuty. Hands down the Ford's fit and finish are far superior. Maybe I bought the truck at a good time, maybe it was a Tuesday or Thursday, right after a pay raise or something, but whatever the reason, Ford sure builds a great truck. Next truck will be another Ford, this time the F-550. I know there are people that have had many problems with their truck for no reason of their own doing, many others who think they bought a race truck, and many others who would B***ch if you gave them a winning lottery ticket, but remember , hundreds of thousands of PSD Superduty's are on the road serving their owners quite well and with routine maintenance, will continue to do so for years to come.

Buying anything new has a bit of luck involved. My '03 engine has been perfect. The truck has ate a trans, needed four ball joints, and a new steering box(all under warranty). Go figure.

Too extensive to list.
Days in shop so far 71 and counting as they still have it.
34K miles.
After spending a month in the shop and having it back only 2 weeks, it's back in the shop. Ford Customer service refused to send me a DSB Package. Told me the info is in the back of manual. Well truck is in shop and I don't have the info can you give it to me? No, it's in the manual.
