EGR valve location?

I know this probably a stupid question. Is the EGR valve located on the top of the intake manifold towards the front of the engine? I want to clean it and wanted to make sure I'm pulling the correct piece.

Theoretically, never. Ford does not specify a replacement time/mileage or have any kind of maintenance schedule for the EGR valve.

I have 55,700 miles on my engine and I've never touched the darn thing. Others have had to take it out one a month and clean the crud off of it to get it unstuck.

If it gets stuck or fails and it's still under warranty take it to the dealer. If not, try cleaning the darn thing yourself.
