egt temps?

I know this is probably the most asked question when it comes to diesels, but what is an ideal pre turbo egt and what is bad.
i just installed my egt gauge and im trying to get a base line
i already installed an air filter kit and complete 4 in exhaust.
i drilled and tapped into the drivers exhaust manifold where it starts
to bend up and installed the supplied autometer sending unit.
any suggestions or atleast lead me to another post

Re: egt temps?

You will should get all kinds of answers on this one, along with a few shots fired. Personally, I use 1200 for extended, 1250 5 minutes or less and 1300 max.

Re: egt temps?

I would def be interested in that seat heat indicator as well. I am tired of thinking my seat is on and trying to look over down the side to see if the light is on or not.
