I'm a little surprised that you lost noticeable fuel mileage.

When in Alaska I had one injector fail completely, and one intermittent. Way down on power, and running a little rough. But, for the 1200 miles it took to find a dealer with the parts and ability to help us the fuel economy was unchanged at 17-18 mpg.

And I could certainly tell when the 2nd injector quit working.

Also, it confuses the computer because the FICM is saying one thing, and the PCM is saying another, and the transmission got confused...which explains the erratic shift I had the other day.

But the truck is essentially running on 7 cylinders...the tech said something like 12.5% of the power of the motor comes from each injector...so with one out and the others compensating for it (or trying to) then I'm really losing 20 or 30 some percent engine power with this bad injector, along with mileage. Well I ordered a new injector, I'm expecting it to be here at least by Wednesday!
I don't think I buy that 30%...I seen people loose and injector, run a little rough and pull a 10k trailer....I'm pretty sure that was with a 6.0

I guess maybe it depends on if your truck is chipped and making a ton more power, you won't miss a few...

If one is gone - the others will not be far behind it. Get them all done at once else you will be paying for it over and over and over again.
