Engine Quits at Highway Speed

Driving my 05 PS at 65 mph pulling loaded horse trailer and engine quits. Coasted to shoulder and engine wouldn't start. Turns over fine but won't start. 120,000 miles. Truck towed to dealer. Of course, holiday weekend.
Truck is stock, no mods. Any ideas?

Wow, this is almost what happened to me today. I'm at 130K miles, except an '04. My mechanic is going to hook it up tomorrow and run some diags. I'll be sure and post the results.

Best to ya,
BB

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. This truck was awesome until the factory 100K warranty ran out. Since then, EGR valve and cooler, oil cooler replaced. Accelerator module and computer replaced and now this. Will let you know what the dealer says tomorrow.

What are these? And which computer? Mines acting up and wonder if my PCM is going bad. Has your speedo ever bounced around or read 0 while driving?

Mine did the same thing on me when I was 450 mile from home and just turned 121,000 miles. It never kicked a code until I tried to start it back up (turned over fine just wouldn't start). Finally, it decided to start and I was able to make it home. I hooked my scanner to it and it came back with Injector Control Pressure Regulator (IPR) Circuit/Open.

No, the speedometer never jumped around. The dealer called this am and said they suspected a bad high oil pressure fitting and the pressure was low during attempted start. Requires turbo removal and approx $800 labor charges plus parts. Will let you know if this is the problem.

Back on the road again! Dealer tested the oil pressure and found only 40 psi. This is what shut the engine down. Replaced a leaking connection at back of pump and replaced the IPR valve due to missing screen. $400 worth of parts and $800 worth of labor as turbo assembly had to be removed. Ouch!
Thanks for suggestions!
