i have a 2004 F-250 6.0L i have banks intercoolers and down pipes and so on but i crank my truck went down to the gas station to get a drink and im on my way back and all the sudden just lost all acceleration and when u try to press the gas it spudders has no power and blows out tones of black smoke. some guys told me to check my air intercooler tubes that go to the turbo to make sure no cracks or loose connections i checked them there were none so i had a buddy tow me home i double checked it then cranked and it drove fine but im affraid that there is still something wrong the turbo sounds like it is spolling fine help?????????????????????

Sounds like it's time clean that dirty EGR valve. Reason I say this that one time after cleaning mine I pinched an o-ring re-installing it. I too was headed to the store when it finally warmed up enough to operate. Man, you would not believe the black smoke and lack of power. Much worse lack of power than a blown IC pipe. Pulled it out, installed new high temp o-ring coated with a little Vaseline, re-installed and all has been fine since. I don't think all EGR valves are bad that Ford has changed, they are just so dirty they can't work properly. Can't hurt anything except lose about 5min. to clean it. That's where I would start.

Geese,
Please use some punctuation and capitalization. That post is almost impossible to read.

It wasn't an English lesson. It was a courtesy request. Make it easier to read, then more people will read it and will then be more inclined to respond. Pretty simple concept.
if the orings survive not getting damaged when you remove it then take some brakekleen & clean it. then apply a little oil to the orings. if the orings are damaged then go to your ford dealer & purchase some new ones. now if its so caked up w/ carbon just replace it.
