In the past few weeks my 2005, 6.0, Superduty has been doing some weird things.
I installed a Quadzilla module about 1 1/2 years ago and of course when having it serviced, I took the unit out.
When the last "upgrade" was done to it, The guy at the dealership said that his computer would not read anything on my truck / would not pick up anything from the Onboard computer.
Just recently my truck does this weird idle like its not getting fuel, then it will pan back out. When driving up the road, it suddenly takes off, if you cut the truck off and turn it back on it will stop.
NOTE: It will do this with or without the power module hooked up. I was thinking it may be the Throttle Position Sensor maybe thinking the throttle is moving further than what it does? What do you guys think?

That doesn't really say what exactly it does. Will it doing something at idle, in gear, driving? And what does it do? Do RPM's jump up 200-400 RPM?

So RPM's jumping? if you don't shut it off, what does it do?
If jumping RPM's is it, it's kinda sounding like infamous ICP connector issue that's been plaguing 2004's lately.
If it is, and I assume it's in the same place, it's worth a shot. Disconnect the ICP sensor and reconnect it. It should be on the passenger side valve cover towards the front in plain open view. That's it, disconnect and reconnect and see if it's not cured.

Family Ride, Sorry I havent replied to your post, I just recently got back from my honeymoon. I will give that a try. Yes it jumps 200-400 rpm's and it has this rough cluck cluck cluck sound like the motor is starving for fuel.
If that doesnt work I will try something else... haha... Dont know what but....
Check your ICP sensor connection. Also, change your fuel filters AND check your oil level. My truck used to have the irratic idle spikes when it was at just the right incline, and it was because the dealer put way too much oil in it. Ideally, on a flat surface, your oil level should be in the middle of the bulb.
I've had the irratic idle, much like yours, recently again, but it only happened for one day, and then it went away again. Try the above suggestions first, and then, if that doesn't work, take it to your dealer and they can perform tests on the ICP.
Yes it was reflashed when it was in for service. As a matter of fact, when the dealership flashed it, their computer crashed and they picked up where they left off. I had no Cruise and was blowing white smoke like crazy, and burning fuel like crazy. Thanks to you guys on here someone told me that they messed up the flash, so I called them and had to take it back. They admitted to thier mistake, cleaned the turbo, injectors and reflashed the program.
I hooked up to a tri axle car hauler and towed it at 70+ after that. The mechanic did tell me that his computer wasnt picking up my computer when we were on the test ride though.
I sent my module off and had it reflashed by Quadzilla, and when it got back it didnt work, so I just recently sent it back for them to reflash again. Supposed to be here today, So I will re install and see if it works now. . .
