About 8 ounces. Not really enough to worry about.

In Timbo's defense, The dealers here do not change it unless you tell them to and they do not ask. I would rather them do the flush and I change the filter afterwards anyway. The want 44.70 for the filter at dealer and I get the motorcraft ft-145 from kmansparts for 20.99. I get 2 for the price of 1 at the dealer.

T2..ok..you got charged for tranny flush so you know it got done. Unlike my o/f, I have no idea how long ext. tranny filter will actually last?

69Cj..certainly odd your svc. dept dosent mention ext.tranny filter when doing fluid change.? No, I'm not surprised.

We have 3 local dealers here. I have been to 2 of them and neither mentions it on their own. Like I said, would rather do that myself. 5 Mins. and 1/2 the price.

69CJ..thats why I said "not surprised" Just odd cause tqshift fluid change + EXT. filter is listed under fmc scheduled changes at same time @ 30 60 & 90K mi. Gotcha cause Im also a DIY (as much as I can)

btw..Svc. dept can be wierd. Remember a/f test strip notice from FMC. Call your local dealer. I did..asked/reply What test strips????

Ya, ours knew nothing and asked if they could make a copy of my letter. Went to parts and they knew nothing of the test strips and they were not in their computer system.
