Flashing Lights and Codes

I'm having a problem with the following codes popping up: P0341 and P0401. I'm not getting any "Check Engine" lights, however I'm getting all my dash lights and outside marker lights flashing as soon as I turn the key on. They will flash 30 times, stop for a second, flash 30 times, stop for a second, then 30 more times and quit. Now I'm very new to the whole diesel thing so bear with me a bit. What is up with the light show? It's annoying as hell but I assume this is connected to the codes. I'd really like to stop the light show and have tried clearing the codes, but they pop back up. One very interesting thing though,...last time I had my oil changed, the lights stopped blinking for a couple hundred miles, then started again. What that has to do with anything is a mystery to me. So far as I can tell, the truck is running fine. I have the Superchips tune set on "Tow Safe". I've done a search on the codes, and I keep running into folks claiming to have "Check Engine" lights appear, but I haven't seen anything regarding all the dash lights and markers flashing. Is this normal for codes?

I don,t see what on a stock truck would cause your light flashing episodes. So I would suggest removing the tuner to see what happens ? It may be the problem?

Has the windshield ever been replaced? The reason I ask is because if the windshield ins't sealed all the way water can get into the central junction box or the GEM and can cause crazy electrical concerns.

As far as I can tell, it seems to be the original windshield. Nothing around it looks like there has been any water damage.

How about some kind of anti-theft alarm? 30 blinks then stops? 30 more then stops? One more time then stops? Maybe a possibility.

Look for an aftermarket security system it is there somewhere. My alpine alarm use to do that if you didn't first push a button to tell the system you knew it was there.

A-ha! The security system! I had quit using the auto door lock on the key fob because it seemed like the fob battery was dieing and it rarely worked. Since then the fob had fallen off the key ring so I just threw it in a drawer. So I grabbed the fob , and sure enough, by pushing the unlock button, the flashing stopped. I guess its time to replace that fob. Thanks!!!
