Hello just got a 2007 F550 4x4 with the 6.0. Barely have a 1000miles on the truck and the towhaul started flashing. What does this mean? Truck ran fine and seemed to shift OK, but it may have taken a little longer for a few shifts to engage. Today ran fine with no light. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Well the tow/haul flashing means there's a problem with the transmission. But since it is not flashing today I don't know what it could have been. WHen my 05 was a newbie (around 2500 miles I think), the t/h light started flashing when I was almost home in a snow storm. I made it home fine and left the truck idling to move some horses around. When I got back in the truck, it wouldn't go forward or backward. It would just making some clanking noises. Long story short...had a new transmission installed. Dealer said it was some catastrophic failure. No problem since.

I think I would be asking the dealer this question. Something happened the computor didn't like. The only time mine flashed was after a long, slooow, not so hard pull, I shut it down, sat for about fifteen minutes, started up, shifted into second, trans started slipping, shifted back into first and ran awhile. They surmized that letting it sit hot, the fluid got hot in the trans and caused the over heat and slipping for the short time. when it was time to go home, no flashing light, no slipping. just changed the fluid. Did you shut down hot?

Tranny was not hot, now after a few hundred more miles it happened again, this time I had some bucking going on. This truck is brand new and I'm like ***!!!! Tranny fluid is clean doesnt smell burnt. May be a tad low but I checked at night parked on an incline. The rpms will also jump between 200 and 400 revs while crusing at 55/60 in fifth gear. This will happen even if tow haul isnt flashing. Almost like the converter engaging/disengaging. Could this be something stupid like a loose ground/bad connection??? I have a hard time believing something major with tranny after so few miles. Anyone know what may be going on. I know I need to get it to dealer but havent been able to slow down yet.
If something major is wrong with it, it'll show it's ugly head pretty quick so I'd get it in. Better to get it addressed now before tearing it up and having the dealer call neglect (for not getting it in).

OK Now I've got a code to go by, its PO715 Input/turbine speed sensor circuit malfunction. I'm assuming this code is tranny related since all 700 numerical codes refer to the transmission in one way shape or form, also I had the flashing tow haul prior to the code. But when I read "turbine" I thought possibly related to the turbo. Does anyone know for sure? Also does anyone know where this sensor may be located so I can check the connection?? Thanks.
The TSS sensor is located on top of the transmission, about 1/3rd of the way back from the bellshousing. Look for the shift linkage on the driver's side of the transmission. There is a wiring harness "christmas treed" to the top of the bracket that holds the shift cable. That harness continues up to the TSS. It will have three wires in it.
