Change the fuel filters every 10K? Seems more often than necessary, but I'll comply if that's the consensus.

Yeah, the boost sometimes just doesn't come on. I note it immediately, because the EDGE chip chirps a warning that EGT is soaring into the 1100s. My truck normally like to cruise around 800-950 on EGT. When the boost fails me, I just back off the pedal, get back into it and I get boost back. Sometimes I have to feather that pedal 2 or 3 times to get boost back on. It's a strange way to have to drive a truck.

For the sake of the argument, I cannot argue with any degree of certainty that the EDGE chip didn't do motor damage to HPOP or STC. But I doubt EDGE, banks, Bully and companies could stay in business building fuel management devices that fail the motor. But I'm in no positions to make statements, just ask questions. Thanks gentlemen.

Ford states change fuel filters every 15k. They are beginning to ask for the records at some dealerships and under certain circimstances. The 10k is their service interval for what they call severe service (towing, biodiesel, extensive idling, extensive off-road driving, etc). The injectors are quickly damaged at low fuel pressures (the minimum pressure is 45 psig). The 10k fuel filter interval is certainly not mandatory, but if you do not have gauges and if you sometimes have to buy fuel from small-volume stations - the 10k interval is wise.
