this FORD is good

real ice on the road last night ( first ice since delivery ) and tried out the ABS system. Perfect, pickup tracked a straight line with a slight lean to the right due to the curve and the coup-d-grace, it stopped on ice within a reasonable distance. I am sure the Alaskans here on TDS are going to think this is no big deal.

Re: this FORD is good

Good to hear. It't funny that ABS doesn't seem to like to even work in mud, or at least mine doesn't. I can get it to work on a relatively hard bottom with a small layer of slick stuff on top, but when the $hit gets deep, all bets are off. I guess it's because all wheels lock up, which I'm assuming the ABS computer thinks is normal, but I haven't really studied the logic and physics of the ABS system on these trucks!!! Re: this FORD is good

get the axle code on the door post, drivers side. If it is a letter and a number, then it is limited slip.

Re: this FORD is good

Now I have a good reason to see the service advisor and ask that question, plus get a new rubber piece for the brake pedal and the parking brake pedal.
