fuel sending unit replacement now having problem

I had the fuel sending unit replaced today in my 05 CCwhich required removal of the bed and on the way home I noticed a clunking sound coming from the rear of the truck? It is most noticable between 35 and 40 mph. I have no idea how the 2 can be connected, but am certain that it wasnt clunking before it was at the dealership? Anyone have any ideas? The dealership is 100 miles away so I cant drive back until next week.

Re: fuel sending unit replacement now having problem

I would definitely say that the removal of the pick-up bed and your clunking are related. Now I don't have the benefit of being able to drive your truck to hear for myself but if this noise occurs over bumps and uneven road surfaces something had to have been left loose. A body mount loose... they left the fuel filler neck unsecured...
