Fuse Panel

Anyone know of an online link to see what is where in the 04 F250 SD fuse panel?

Is it in the bible?

TIA.

Yes, I KNOW 'in the $#@%#$#%$ owners manual' but I can't just run right out and get it.

I'm trying to make it look like I'm working!!!

Re: Fuse Panel

Yes - I blew the 20a running light fuse for my boat trailer this week (probably due to a loose connection). And I was a bit surprised that the running lights and the signal/brake lights were on different fuses.

Though I had no running lights I still had signal and brake.

So I'm curious how it's set up on the panel so I can get spare fuses and save the $$ and headache for next time (if there is).

Thanks!

Re: Fuse Panel

Tim,

My mom's truck did the same thing when she had a horse trailer hooked up. We troubleshooted this thing for about 6 hours before realizing that they were on two different circuits. I just let her have mine for the time being and replaced mine when I got the chance.

Later,

Re: Fuse Panel

Cool. My first hunch is that maybe the running lights are also wired into the eletric brakes for the 7 blade RV hookup. I can't see needing 20a for running lights.

Re: Fuse Panel

On mine, fuse #17, the third one from the bottom on the left, next to the relays is the running lights fuse. It's a 15A fuse.... Blown it once or twice..............

The brake/turns are on fuse #18 (right below #17) and it is a 20A fuse......

Re: Fuse Panel

Odd - mine was a 20a. Maybe different on an 04?

Now, I did have a trailer guy looking at mine and he PULLED a 20a fuse, not sure where from though.

Dunno about that..... Could be.... But hooking up my lights under my cab (which are wired into my running lights), I managed to blow that fuse several times and I just double checked my OM. On mine, its definitely a 15A fuse.... Is it possible the trailer guy put in a 20A instead??

Re: Fuse Panel

I have a 03 f350 with a weird problem concerning buzzing relay It is the turn signal relay located mid point under the dash. If you press the brake or use the turn signal the buzzing goes away. I have measured on the source wire of the relay and it is running about 5 volts. When the brake is depressed it goes to 12 v and operates the relay. Any Ideas??? I have changed the relay with a new one to no avail. I need some help!!!

Re: Fuse Panel

workin' on it. need more time

i didn't see anything in the wiring diagram. I would suggest a possible brake switch high resistance short.

Re: Fuse Panel

I would bet that the later model trucks (05 and 06) are wired different than earlier models. I have an 06 with tow boss pkg. Blew the left turn signal fuse for the trailer but the left rear turn signal on the truck still worked. Was about to tear into wiring between rear lights and trailer connections whe my wife said maybe they are on different fuses. I said no, the just splice into the tear lights to hook up the trailer light wiring. While I was cussing and grumbling and gathering tools she got the owners manual and started looking. Just in time so stop me from pulling wires to trace she said see: different fuses. Sure enough Ford has gone real truck and put separate fuses for the truck and trailer. You can lose lights on one without necessarily losing the other. Don't know what year they did this but would guess after the started the built in trailer brake controller, when they started getting serious about towing.
