glow plugs?

I own an 05 dually 350, needless to say ive done everything i could do on my limited budget i can do without taking the cab off for stud replacement, which is paramount for the 6.0. I did the elbow ,exaust, sct chip, reg fuel return, got deleted lifted it 6 inches and threw 37's on it.Its up around 32 pounds of boost and i just know the heads are dancing off of it when im at that boost level. The reason i know this is because when im on the highway and im in overdrive and try to go over 26 lbs of boost i have coolant all over the drivers side of my truck.White smoke isnt present yet but i have to plug the truck in even in the dead of summer to get it to start, but once shes running she's fine any thoughts

glow plug relay?
at night when you start up, your lights should be dim for about 2 min while the glow plugs cycle. test this to see if it happens.

If you have an ammetter probe, put it on the large wire going to the glowplug relay. With KOEO you should have 100+ amps for a minute or so. If not bad controller or glowplugs.

Sounds like you have two problems. The hard starting is likely due to a bad FICM, which is common on 05 trucks (i have never actually heard of bad glow plugs in these trucks, it isn't common). So if you haven't replace it yet, that is it. It does set a ghost code (no light but code). The coolant issue sounds like a bad head gasket. High boost and you puke... If you have any engine warranty left get it in and see if they will fix it for you. They may not because of all of the mods you have. See what others say but that is my vote.

Like rock doctor says.. glow plugs are something we just don't see as a problem (caution... there are two different glow plugs for these engines depending on what heads you have (old style or commonized).

If there are any glow plug concerns, you would get DTCs.....

FICM voltage is very possibly the problem... Look for a P0611 alone or in conjunction with injector high to low codes.
