Going in for reflash/warranty work, removed Edge box, do i need to do anything else???

Taking my 03 in for its first reflash since i bought it for low power, surging and all the other problems everyone else is having. I had an Edge box installed but removed it to avoid any warranty issues. My question is do i have to disconnect the batteries or do anything else to avoid these potential warranty issues since the Edge was installed? Thanks for all your help.

Lots of mythology around here on that one...

I'd disconnect the batteries, turn on the lights and let it sit for about 10 mins to discharge everything. It should kill the error codes, and will reset your transmission.
