has there ever been a recall on head studs?

i have owned my truck for about 2 years and have never heard of a recall, ive also read alot of posts on here and there are lots of guys that have head stud issues. Has ford ever recalled them?

Ford does not use studs. They use TTY, torque to yield bolts, which is part of the problem when you jack up the H.P. and no, to my knowledge there has never been a recall on them.

As mentioned...navistar/fmc still use's TTY head bolts, not studs. Mine still ok. FWIW..stock 6L's can still blow h.g. from overboosting i.e. stuck t. blade's. Head studs are still aftmkt. parts. NOT oem.
