Head stud torque specs
Are the specs for the studs the same as the bolts? The paper with my studs say 3 even steps to 245 ftlbs. I assume 80 pounds each time...80, 160, 240? Any help is appreciated.
Also, I replaced the HPOP fitting with the new threaded style. Has anyone ever used the plastic jig that comes with the kit? The one I had was beveled on one side...making the fitting turned up a little. I did not use it, I just made sure it was level with the pump. Also, should I have used loctite on any bolts in the fitting or pump?
Another note, my 05 has 42K miles on it and the heads had to be surfaced to the tune of 8 thousandths. Is this normal? Thanks for the help.
