HELP! Hydrabooster Bolt Sheared off while on boat ramp!

I have an 04 4X4 CC F350 PSD 6.0. All stock except a 4" turbo back exhaust. My brother borrowed my truck and boat to go fishing a couple of weeks ago. He was on the launch ramp in park, ready to pull out of the water. He pressed on the brake to shift into D and heard a loud "POP" under the hood and the brake went to the floor! He was able to pull out without sliding my truck into the ocean.

Upon inspection I found that the driver's side bolt from the hydrabooster had sheared off and the passengen side bolt bent but didn't break. The pushrod also bent but still gave a little brake power, according to my brother.

I have cut the bent bolt out but can't seem to find anywhere to purchase just the bolts and pushrod. Can anyone help me out here? Are they even available for purchase? Can the bolts be re-installed on the hydrabooster or are they shipped that way from the manufacturer?

Any help or parts for sale would be great!

If you are refering to the bolts that the master cylinder mounts to, they are pressed in studs. I don't know where you would find the push rod alone because it is crimped to the power piston in the HB. Most likely need a new unit.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am referring to the bolts to which the master cylinder mounts. Mine were reverse threaded. Very interesting looking. They bolted into the HB counter-clockwise then had the remainder of the bolt with the typical clokwise threads. A very special bolt, to be sure.

So, the pushrod from the HB to the MC should be connected in the HB? The reason I ask is because I haven't seen any pics of it no matter where I go and look. None of the parts shops have been able/willing to open one to check for me.

Same exact thing happened to me. If you are talking about the piece that the resovouir is on I used a smaller size bolt that I put through with a corresponding nut. Been that way for 100k miles

Did you have any issue with the pushrod being bent? Could I just have a local make me a new pushrod from some stainless stock?
