High pressure Oil Pump & ICP

Are the high pressure oil pump and the ICP covered under the 100,000 mile warranty? Both just went south on me. Thanks

Re: High pressure Oil Pump & ICP

The check engine light went on, the engine started surging and I took it to the dealer. He came back and informed me the ICP and high pressure engine pump needed replacing. Thing is, they wacked me for $100.00. I thought it should be covered under the 100,000 mile warranty and not the deductible. I contacted Ford Customer Service via email and the morons said to discuss it with my dealer. They wouldn't commit to whether the items are covered or not. They are totally useless!

Re: High pressure Oil Pump & ICP

The 100K warranty is not free. If you have exceeded the bumper to bumper warranty, you do have to pay the $100 deductible.

Re: High pressure Oil Pump & ICP

My mistake. I thought that the extended warranty was 100.00 deductible and the 100,000 mile covered engine parts like the bumper to bumper. Guess I'm the moron. Thanks for the info!

Re: High pressure Oil Pump & ICP

How do they know the ICP sensor and HPOP are bad at the same time, especially when the ICP sensor is used to diagnose the HPOP?

It's much like when I had a turbo replaced. The y-pipe was leaking BAD. They replaced the turbo, too (the parts were ordered at the same time, and installed several weeks later). How can they properly diagnose a bad turbo when there's a huge leak in the y-pipe??
