6.0L Power Stroke Engine and Drivetrain Discussion of the 6.0L Power Stroke diesel engine and drivetrain in the 2003-Up Super-Duties and Excursions. No gas engine discussion allowed except on transmissions and drivetrain that pertain to all models. Please confine discussion of topics in this forum to those items that are specific to the 6.0L Power Stroke engine.

Hmmm...If it ain't broke, don't fix it... Radiator hose/? Leaking....

First the turbo tube, now this... So much for preventative stuff.


Replaced both the radiator hoses. The lower hose engine side, or near the engine side is leaking coolant. However, seems to sometimes not leak while running then leak while off and hot. Swapped the screw clamp for the spring clamp that is on the lower hose radiator end. Seems a little better, but still leaking. I am going to tighten it some more and see if that helps... What else is down there. Surely I did not blow a gasket just by swapping hoses.

Ideas?

Also, those who have replaced their hoses, did the new upper hose rub on the turbo tube near the radiator side? I don't believe the OEM one was doing that...
