My 03 has a hood insulator.I work at a body shop and see alot of different vehicles. But I have noticed some trucks do not have an insulator, mainly on newer trucks. Is this something they changed for a specific reason?I was thinking maybe it held in too much heat? But what about winter it's good to have heat then?
This question is about Ford trucks ofcourse, nothing to do w/ other makes that I see.
A good number of people actually add the blanket back in (like we did) so hold on to it. They also removed the lights in the bottom of the doors, glove box light and under hood light. They probably saved $20 but it costs 10 times that to install it all after the fact.

That is absolutely absurd, I noticed the 08's don't have the hood blanket either. I for-see a plastic Super Duty in our future
