See my miles in my sig. I used to pull campers for a living and just recently quit. Only two what I would call major problems. HPOP went out at 180,550 miles (at home) and the tranny died at 360,660 miles (on the road in front of a Ford dealer). The truck only left me on the side of the rode once for a left front wheel bearing at 185,200 miles. All this was in 40 months, averageing near 10,000 miles a month, towing 65-70% of the time. All other issues with the truck I would consider normal maintenance. My truck averaged 10.5-12 MPG while towing and 16.5 MPG empty. Truck is still running great and would not hesitate to load it up and go anywhere in the country. Hope this helps. Happy Truckin'

There have been threads on 6.0's with high miles. I gave an X plan PIN to a friend who drags big living quarter horse trailers from factory to interior outfitters and then from there to dealer or customer. He put 285,000 on his early 2004 within 18 months and has put another 45K on it. Would have more but he went to a Med Duty truck and uses the 350 Super Duty a lot less these days. He had an EGR valve replaced and the electric fuel pump assembly (HFCM) replaced in the 330K miles (as of last conversation a couple months back). His oil consumption is around a quart in 2500 miles as it has been since new.
The fact that that unit has that many miles in 3 +/- years means it will be one of the longer lived ones. Quick miles almost always means long life.

I call BS on that one unless he is hotseating with a co-pilot. Thats over 500 miles a day 7 days a week or about 16K a month and DOT won't let you get away with that. Bout 140K a year "LEGALLY" is all you can do.
