How much did you pay for head studs and new gaskets?

Looks like I'm going to need new head gaskets and I will need head studs. My truck doesn't like 32+ psi. How much did you pay for this upgrade?

Decking, would be machining the block surface where the heads would mount onto.

I paid $385 for studs. (R&E Racing on Ebay)
$134.00 a side for head gasket kits (comes with bolts you don't need) Wabash Truck Center
$300 for new oil cooler on ebay.
$200 for new egrcooler on ebay.
$100 for an "EGR Cooler modification kit"

$1100 for machine shop, heads milled, valves cleaned and ground, new guides, new valve seats, etc.

Probably throw in another $100 for miscellaneous gaskets, $60 for anti-freeze, and $150 for coolant filter kit and filters.

I did the work myself...new glowplugs, new belt, new water pump, new hoses, new thermostat, new fuel injector wiring harness, and glow plug wiring harness. The wiring harnesses were damaged, everything else was just preventive while it was all apart. I also cleaned the turbo.

I paid $550.00 for the bolts and about $220.00 for labor since the dealer already had ny motor pulled from the truck to take care of the bed plate (oil leak). They did not install new head gaskets just pulled on bolt at a time and installed the ARP studs.

WOW! $7000 is almost a brand new motor. This was my fear when I bought a 6.0. I would end up spending as much to repair as to replace with a new motor. I'm praying I don't need heads because as things are right now, my rigger is sitting until this economy picks up. Really unfortunate too.

I'll repost with updates. I'm saving for parts now. Then labor. Need studs, gaskets and an oil cooler.

A new not rebuilt motor is a little more then 2 times the cost of $7,000 heads. About $15K and some change.
