intercooler hose blows?

my intercooler hose blew off of the torbo three times two weeks ago. I had it into the dealership last week for this problem. they said it was asembly lube on the pipe and that it was fixed. This weekend it blew off twice. I dont want to worry about this problem every time I tow 4 fourwheelers. anyone know a fix? or recall? my truck was built in 04-04 bought in 04-04 and only has 6000 miles. never had any other problems.

Re: intercooler hose blows?

There is a TSB out on it. There is a newer style of plastic hose and a heavy duty spring loaded clamp that keeps the hose on. I've had my updated setup on my truck for 52,000 miles after it first blew and I've had zero problems. The new clamp WILL keep it on.

BTW, the dealer is bull shifting you regarding the assembly lube story .

Re: intercooler hose blows?

I have found a good site (NHTSA) to review TSB and or safety recall info, select Service Bulletins and submit make, model info and you can optionally select components or all with a printable summary.
