ipr or hpop

Need some help with HPOP problem. Did HG's on my truck last week started it up drove around to my speedy lube bay let it idle for a few and then shut it down (it was late and I was Hungry) Came back the next day and it would not start ICP readying 85PSI so pulled HPOP and replaced SCT fitting which was bad it had rolled the O Ring so put ugraded one from ford in and put it all back to gether still no start did a presure check on the system and I am getting air from the back side of the HPOP out the dump hole from the IPR so here is my question. When not energized what is the IPR's position and is there a way to test the IPR with out a scan tool that can controle it.

After changing the SCT fitting I am now seeing 140PSI on the ICP if the IPR is bad would it be dumping all the Oil Pressure. when cranking the IPR reads 85%

Any help would be great been fiteing this a while now!

You will have to energize the IPR to close it,Other than that it will dump off oil.Same thing when checking the High pressure oil system for leaks.You must have the IPR closed to pressurize the rest of the HP Oil circuit.Dont keep it energized for more than a Minute or you can burn out the Controll coil.

no you dont leave the truck off (key off) and its as closed as its going to be unless its stuck open.
