Well I took the advise of many here and purchased the coolant filtration system for my 03 F250 6.0. I will keep you informed but it will be a couple of months to get the results. Hope it works.

It will work. Depending on how often and how far you drive, it may not take 2 months for that first one to plug up.. IIRC, the instructions say to change the first one at 500 miles and the second one after 1000 miles and then yearly after that.
What I do is routinely check the hose spliced in after the filter to the degas bottle. When it stops being as warm as the radiator hose, I know the filter is plugged and change it. I did that on the first one and found it plugged before the 500 miles. Did the same on the second, which went almost 2K miles (But I had my headgaskets and oil cooler changed in between the first and second, so the cooling system got flushed too, which cleaned out a bunch of the crap in the system.). I continue to monitor the third, which I will change at one year if it has not plugged up before then.

Just a little update regarding a delay in delivery of the product. I had placed my order, paid with PayPal and the order was not delivered as of November 4th, 2009. I called Riley Industries (DieselSite) and spoke to Mr. Riley to ascertain as to when it would be shipped. This is what he said.
They were moving to a new housing cap to where the filter is fastened. Instead of a cast housing, they are producing a CNC machined billet housing. Right now they come only as a machined cap in polished aluminum. Shipping/delivery is about a week.
However, they plan to have the housing black powder coated and a decal placed on the product which would delay/shipping for about another week or so.
Since I'm not in any hurry, I opted for the black housing.
One other note. Mr. Riley advises that there will be a discount on the product of $5.00 if the customer provides feedback on the new product. He also advises that the coolant filter sales are very good, to which I told him that his product is well received on the DieselStop website and that the people who are using them are quite happy.

We are dropping the cast housing for a new CNC machined housing. They will be black anodized and laser engraved with our logo. The cost of that cast piece has risen to the point that I can make it billet for a few dollars more.
What we are doing is grabbing the 1st 20 off the line and sending them to folks to make sure everything works out well, and also for those impatient ones that can't wait another week or so for the black units.
These early units will be neither anodized nor engraved and will be 5.00 less for their trouble, since I will want feedback.
As always, those that have bought our units in the past can upgrade to the new unit if they like them better. There is no "functional" difference. It's just a cosmetic change. It'll be for sale as an upgrade on the web soon. All new kits will go out with the new housing as soon as I get some feedback from the 1st 20.

That was going to be my question...thanks for the answer.
Next question, when you say "upgrade, is the price lower for those who already have the cast unit and do we send you the original cast unit back?
BTW, Bob, I'm very happy with mine. Thanks again.

I've had my Dieselsite coolant filter on my '06 since it had about 40 miles on it. I've helped at least three people install theirs. I can't imagine it getting any better.
Well I got my filter kit yesterday and installed it today 11/3/09. I dont know if I have the old or new style. It appears to be one piece type of aluminum.
You will be amazed with the improvement you'll get with this coolant filter installed. Damn, it cant get any better, I regret not putting in one early on
Say it ain't so Joe!

I received (sort of) my coolant filter but I'll have to wait until after Christmas to get it as it was sent to my buddy in the US. He tells me that it looks quite impressive. I elected for the new style.
I also note that Riley Industries picked up the PayPal charge for the payment on the purchase. My thanks to Mr. Riley
