Loud air noise

Need some help please,I was towing heavy load today and all the sudden
it sounds like the blower motor on A.C. went to warp speed. It must be
turbo related because when you back off the noise goes away. When you get back on it and boost starts to build noise comes back. This is a 04 F350 4wd with 52000 miles on it bone stock. I did not notice much
power loss, might be a hole in one off the intercooler boots.
Thanks for any help Willie J.

Re: Loud air noise

If not the fan, the sound is different, check the blue boots on the IC tubes at the turbo and also at the IC. Mine split and under boost you could hear it.
