6.0L Power Stroke Engine and Drivetrain Discussion of the 6.0L Power Stroke diesel engine and drivetrain in the 2003-Up Super-Duties and Excursions. No gas engine discussion allowed except on transmissions and drivetrain that pertain to all models. max EGTs???

I have a edge juice w/ attitude chip, afe 4in exhaust and afe intake in stalled on my 05 F350. what would be the high point for egts to go to just trying to figure out my max for the edge chip. thanks.

You should not run sustained temps over 1250 degrees.. But short bursts (a few seconds) well beyond that are fine. You could set that back down to 1300 degrees and just monitor your EGTs to make sure you don't go over 1250 for extended periods....

I have an edge Juice with attitude 4 inch magnaflow and an AFE airbox as well. The highest EGT I seen was 1250 towing a 8000 lb toy hauler while ascending a steep mountain.

Mine is stock tuned and can pass 1250* if I tow but it scares the crap out of me. I even get scared if it goes above 1000*. Sux.

thats pre turbo cause my sensor is in the intake manifold i believe

yes ur sensor is pre turbo in the exhaust manifold. as long as ur not sustained over 1300* you will be fine. keep your edge setting in the lower levels when on a hill and/or if your towing. if your EGTS burst up over say 1500* then id back her down thats a pucker level....

mine is set at 1250 to give me a heads up in case she starts surging over 1300's...

piloting a fire breathing, over boosted, turbo charged, tire smoking, panic inducing, ear drum abusing, spinal adjusting, snow storms nightmare. 2003 f-350 6.0, kinda fast...
