At present I am using the Ford fuel additive/cetane booster and performance improver PM-18-A. At the moment I have a full tank of fuel with the correct ratio of this Ford additive.
Today I purchased two bottles of the Stanadyne Performance fuel additive. I want to switch to Stanadyne. Should I wait until I completetly empty my fuel tank and start afresh or would it be OK to fill the tank when it reaches half full and then start with the stanadyne? I really do not want to get the fuel tank too empty that's why i'm asking this question.
Thanks for the forum!

Re: Mixing different brand fuel additives in the 6.0
I don`t think you will have any problems,I changed from Diesel Kleen to the Ford additive mid streem with no issues.
2 reasons,to try what Ford claims plus I got the additive @ wholesale.

Just change over and don,t worry about it. Its not going to hurt a thing. They are just fuel additives. I have tried both and noticed no difference, but I may not be as observant as most.

Its hard to say my mileage has increased a little(1 combo-2 highway-0 towing),but I also did a 3 1/2" down pipe around the same time of the switch of additives.
So which helped both
I never had a increase with Diesel Kleen used that for 10 months.

I have seen the same results with the Ford product... I started using it about 3 tanks back and have gained better than 1 mpg in mixed driving.... This is with ULSD, which coincidentally hit the area about the same time......
