MPGs

I have an 07 F550 with a 4.88 and was wondering how to better my MPGs. I was considering going to a higher gear (3.73) but tow about 20k on a regular basis. I think the 4.88s are too steep and are not taking advantage of the 5 speed automatic as the engine is tached out at interstate speeds and unable to down shift to maintain momentum. Any help would be appreciated. I was also considering a Banks Power Pack but that won't help being tached out.

I think you are geared right for what you pull. So other than aftermarket stuff(none of it going to do that much for you), the best way to help highway mpg is keep your rpm at 2k on the tach. Thats probably around 55mph with that setup...
