Warranty Head Gaskets and Bedplate reseal. I shared my concern with the tech regarding head 'flatness'. He said he hasn't found many, if any, heads that were out of spec. I said that I've read that there are a fair number of repeat head gasket repairs due to warping that is not found during the initial repair. He said that Ford reports that +/- 90% of the heads that are warranted are not bad.
He's willing to install studs, but I've read a few threads about blown gaskets with studs installed, resulting likely from heads that were warped and not checked before replacement the first time......
I was assured the procedure for checking the heads for flatness will be followed.
