so yesterday while my 03 6.0 was idleing it all of a sudden started skipping my first thought was injectors i call my as*hole dealer and they told me " well you know those motors are noted for having problems and it could be a hundred things i cant help you with out putting it on my computer it could be injectors, or the FCIM or your erg valve is stuck." so yea thanks for nothing. well i ruled out the erg cause i can still hear it open and close throuhg the exhaust and as for the injectors i am as we steak trying to see about them but any help as to othe rpossabilitys would be greatful the strange things is i get no smoke at all and i really havent lost any power
I Second That And All The Parts You Are Just Throwing At It (in The Dark) Most Are Expensive And Can Not Be Taken Back Hey But Its You Money And Chances Are You Will Still Have To Take It Back To That (what Did You Call That Dealer) He Is There To Help If He Dont They Are Thousands Of Other Ford Dealers All Over This Nation

S..curious..when u say eng. skipping..does that mean..sounds like its missing/not running on all 8/rough idle? No smoke..power ok, but started doing this yesterday. Not intermittant, but skips (miss?)is now full time?
You may be interested in picking up an OBDII monitoring device (AutoTap - OBDII Diagnostic Scanner is the one I use). Lets you see codes, reset them, and VIEW IN REAL TIME hundreds of monitored things such as any misfires, sensor levels, and operating conditions. Well worth it to invest the $200 if you plan to keep the truck long term as a DIY'er.

Start with a EGR valve, if it runs the same then put a new FICM in. If it's still the same try replacing an injector 1 at a time. P.S. I started having this pain in my mid torso and I refuse to go these crook doctors, any of you guys have an idea whats going on?
Auto enginuity will let you buzz test injectors, check the ficm and diagnose just about everything. Its $400 ish but the best for our trucks. When you consider $300+ to diagnose a problem from ford it is very reasonable

the dealer told me it was most likely the egr valve but i can hear it opening and closeing throhg the exhaust and yes it sounds like it isnt running on all 8 and it is doing it constanly my thouhgts are the FCIM or an injector(s) what misleads me is that there are no codes which to me means it is probably a mechanical issue not electrical and i have no smoke and a very little loss of power not really enough to say so

Same symptoms for me. It appears to be the EGR valve. Having one shipped to install tomorrow.

"IF YOUR NOT LIVING LIFE ON THE EDGE, YOUR TAKING UP TO MUCH SPACE"
If your living on the edge all someone has to do is give you a little nudge and over the edge you go. More space for me
Like everyone said, you really need to get it scanned. Your EGR valve may not be openning and closing all the way which may make things goofy. Its free to check and you have nothing to lose.
