In need of some help

one of my buddies has an 04 ford 6.0 running really bad ran the codes and i came up with a bunch PO284,P2284,P2285,P2288 is this a bad sensor or something major thanks Bstac

The only code I could find was p0284, which is Cylinder #8 balance fault. Could be anything from a bad injector connection to a hole in the piston. My guess would be possibly a bad injector

P2284, P2285 and P2288 are ICP related.

Disconnect the ICP and see if it runs better. If so, replace the sensor and possibly the wiring harness.

Do you know if it is an early model 2004 (ie made in 2003)? If so the ICP is below the turbo and hard to get to. The disconnect is really a good troubleshooting tool if you have a bad sensor. The old style sensors had a seal problem that soaked the harness w/ oil and caused them to fail also.
