Need yall's help!

Hey guys. I have a 2005 250 4x4. Has 89,000 miles on it. Completely stock. Went to crank it this morning and cranked fine. Let it warm up like usual, but I noticed white smoke coming out the tail pipe, I have NO turbo psi, and at around 1500 rpms it shutters. I cant even drive it. So I have white smoke, no turbo boost ( well if I rev it up to around 2000 rpms the gauge moves up to around 1 psi) It idles fine but once I put it in gear and start giving it some throttle it shutters and white smoke is following me around. I need some advice as to what it is, because it is my primary vehicle and need to fix it this afternoon if possible. I can fix most any of the minor things but if its something to do with injectors or something covered under warranty I'll take it in.

thanks for any help..............

I would take it in, its not going to be something simple. How's your water level? Oil level? Loss of turbo psi is usually a blown boot or intercooler and sticking veins. White smoke is from water of course, blown head gasket or egr cooler.

Checked the oil, its good. Not different color or anything either. Water level is a little low, but it hasnt' been leaving any drips or puddles or anything under the truck. But it has leaked some coolant out at the degas bottle recently. Talked to a mechanic at the dealership and said it could be the egr cooler. But to bring it in and whatever the problem was, its "more than likely" covered under the warranty.

My 2003 6.0 does similiar and Ford can't figure it out. Does yours smooth out after about a mile or so, mine does? Usually only does it when it's cold out (45 and below).

How frequently do you drive it? It might be a frozen set of turbo vanes.

I drive it every day. about 25 miles one way to work pretty much all highway. Didn't drive it that far down the road to see if it smoothes out or not. It was around 50* this morning when I started it up. This is the first time it has done it. Like I said, I even waited for the truck to get up to temp before even driving around and it still does it, so I parked it.

If it is still under factory warranty I would most definetley take it in. It sounds like an EGR cooler problem just pay the $100 deductible and have them fix should be good as new after that.

thanks guys for the help. Just wanted to update ya'll on my problem. Talked to the mechanic today and it was in fact the egr cooler.

Just thought I'd pass it along.
