New '06 '07 F250 or F350

I looking at going to an '06 or '07 Superduty CC with the 6.0 instead of waiting for the '08 twin turbo 6.4. My Ford service guy says he finally has confindence in the 2006 6.0 engines. Now my only question is...are there any disadvantages in buying an F350 instead of the F250?

The ride quality seems very similiar, are there any real differences which may be a negative. I pull a boat and sometimes a toyhauler trailer.

Thanks

Sage

There are differences in the axle shafts, 35 vs 37 splines or something like that. Also, the regs can be higher depending on the state due to certified hauling capacity.

Re: New '06 '07 F250 or F350

Greetings,

I know this is not going to sound right, but I thought that the F250, due to lighter overal weight, had a higher carry capacity or something like that???

Peace

Re: New '06 '07 F250 or F350

The ride on the 250 is smoother than the one in a 350 or even 450.

Re: New '06 '07 F250 or F350

Greetings,

For CC's Ford posts 12,500 conventional towing for both. But only 15,500 vs 18,000 250 to 350 for 5th wheel. SRW both.

I thought I read somewhere that the 250, due to lighter weight, had a better bed/carry capacity, though, not able to redily find it.

Peace

Re: New '06 '07 F250 or F350

The F350 has at least a 9900# gross cap. weight rating, the F250 is 8800....so the F350 CAN carry more. Higher ratings are available as options.
