Re: New here, quick question.

The Banks intake will give you more problem with warranty than a 4" cat back exhaust.

I'd put the stock filter system back on & do a 4" cat back. Add a set of gauges for boost, trans temp, EGT & fuel pressure. Good to go.

Re: New here, quick question.

Jason, welcome to the family, think you will love that truck even more , the more you use it , even if yu do have to live with a few of the problems that crop up from time to time.
Just curious, you say you got the 04 , that has 96,000 on it and you got it with an extended warranty up to 200,000 miles or 2012. I wasn't aware Ford was offering up this kind of extension. Can you tell me how much it ran you to add this coverage, and is it just covering the motor and drivetrain.
I have an extended warranty also, that runs out in 2010 , the year I plan to retire and take our monster 5th around the country, so I am curious if I can extend it.
Love my truck too, just wish they would do something about the rising cost of diesel... up to 3.69 in upstate ny.

Re: New here, quick question.

Softtail,

Maybe he bought one of these:

Ford is now offering two 7-year 200,000 mile Extended Service Plans (ESP) called Diesel EngineCARE Plus and Diesel EngineCARE.

I got a post card in the mail from Ford annoucing the new ESP plans a couple of weeks ago.

Check out this thread 200,000 Mile ESP
