O5 Excursion 6.0 Tranny

From time to time when Im driving it seems that when it shifts between either 1-2 or 2-3 one or the other it hasnt done it enough to pinpoint it. but it seems to take longer to go in gear almost like it was slipping. There has never been a time longer than a few seconds but it definatly has a pause. is this normal or should i get it in before something really screws up?

3-4 shift??? The torque shift is an amazingly complex transmission and i believe 4th is a double shift and it can, in some cases almost feel like it is slipping but it is normal. I am sure Mark will post back, he is the boss when it comes to these transmissions. My X does it also every great once in a while.

Yeah now that you say 3-4th your prob right , I would say around 30-35mph
I kept telling myself the next time it happens im gonna have to get it checked out, well it happened tonight. alright well thats good news other than that it has been a great ride so far.
