2. Eighteen dollars. TBN is an extra ten dollars. The TBN test will tell you if you can go longer on oil changes.
3. There are many varying opinions on that. I'am a newbie so by no means an expert so, I plan on doing my first analysis at my third oil change (9,000 miles) to see how breakin went. After that, I will try 5,000 mile oil change intervals and send in another Blackstone. Maybe next winter I'll try a round of synthetic and send more oil in for analysis.
