Oil Change HELP

So this morning I did an oil change and when I pulled the filter out the spring (which i do not know the term for) was broken in pieces. It looks like most parts were retained within the filter but now I cannot find the replacement part needed. The part that was broken is attached below. Can I just order this part or do I need to replace the whole assembly? Is this part necessary to run the truck or am I without a vehicle?

Thanks for any help!

You need to replace the oil filter standpipe. Go to your dealer or Google the part number: 3C3Z-6C755-AA
