Oil seepage "normal'? Input needed!

So, I changed the oil last night and noticed that bell housing/tranny area is pretty wet with oil. I call the dealer and they suggest that it might be a bed plate, but that "some seepage is normal". I would like this taken care of under warranty, so would like some forum input if this is something I should pursue, or if indeed some seepage should be expected.

Mine had oil in the same area but it was from the oil filter cap. The o-ring was a nice square shape and was not very flexible at all. New filter and o-ring solved the problem.

Bike..I think your 5yr/100K OEM warr. has expired. If so..no coverage. Ext.warr. might, I dont know? Seepage at this point..no actual dripping on ground..I wouldn't worry about it. JMO!

The truck "in-service date is Jan 2004, and my mileage is only 36K, so I am in there (just barely!) That is why I am trying to figure out if is worth having the dealer look into it (keeping in mind the $100 fee they are going to charge).
