Pitman Arm Fix?

My buddy just put a 6" lift on his truck. Now his steering wheel is crooked. I told him that we might be able to move his pitman arm on the gearbox a few teeth but I was'nt sure. Does anyone know if thats how to to this or is there another way? Thanks guys.

Just adjust the draglink. Loosen adjuster on drag link (upper link attached to steering box) and spin it one way or the other till steering wheel is straight. Have wheels straight first and unlock steering wheel before adjusting. You may have to do it more than once to get it perfect.

Do not try and move the pitman arm. They make longer "dropped" pitman arms just for trucks that are lifted. Any lift kit company should be able to supply one. If it is off by a VERY slight amount, you can adjust the draglink, but with a 6" lift I think a dropped pitman arm is the best bet.
