PO336 Error Code
A couple of days ago after driving and stopping my truck when I restarted it the RPM's were very low and it was running very rough. Any attempt to put it in gear or give it more fuel would cause a stall. I turned it off, waited a moment and it restarted and ran fine. No wrench light or anything.
Today, again after a short drive, it did the same thing. This time after several attempts it kept running rough, low RPM's, same stalling. It took ten minutes before it started and ran fine.
I used my Edge Insight to check codes and it had a PO299 (turbo underboost) and PO336 (CKP Sensor A circuit range/performance. From what I can tell the 336 code is the crank sensor, and it seems that the sensor or it's wiring or a connection are the most likely culprit?
Not sure about the underboost code, never saw that before and figure it may have been triggered by the way the engine was running?
It's at the local Ford dealer now.
