Possible fuel leak

i noticed a smell like diesel fuel, i looked under the hood didnt see much untill i got underneath saw wet on the suspension parts. any Ideas what could be leaking towards the front of the motor looked alittle wet on the side of the upper filter housing looked like some sort of regulator mounted on the side but not sure.

Have you changed the upper fuel filter or had any work done in that area recently?

2005 F-350 LARIAT 6.0 PSD SRW AUTO FX4 (removed) CC SB White, International emblems, Tow Command, Upfitters, Line-X, ScanGauge, Pioneer Appradio, Banks Technicooler and intake w/Zoodad, Dieselsite coolant filter (w/RMI-25), braided 4x4 lines, Mag-Hytec trans pan & diff covers, Fumoto oil valve (Motorcraft 15W-40), Knurled HFCM drain plug, Britebox, EZ-Down tailgate, BedStep, MBRP 5" cat-back (6" tip), Putnam class V hitch with 1upUSA bike rack, TransferFlow 30 gal toolbox tank + 46 gal midship tank = 76 gals total with Stanadyne Performance additive and FPPF cetane improver... the rest is all stock you nig-nogs. 64k miles, 1600+ hours.

Waiting for "BigTurbo" to help me install: Dieselsite Trans filter kit.

The fuel pressure regulator is mounted to the filter housing. The seals have been known to go flat and cause a leak. I find it is becoming more common lately.

Check the secondary fuel filter cap. It could be loose.

i changed upper fuel filter about 10k ago i think alexb could be right the screws that hold the regulator on looked a little wet i will check tomorrow see if that stops it.

no luck not leaking from filter housing the powersteering pump is covered i am at a loss it smell like diesel fuel maybe its steering fluid i am getting confused might have to drop it off
